Music Ministry

Since our beginnings in 1863, music has been an important part of our worship and has a long and rich history.  Our first vested choir began in 1893 as an English-style Men and Boys Choir established with a Director brought over from England.  Since that time our music has been offered to the glory of God by choirs, soloists, quartets, instrumentalists and a long line of distinguished organists.

Parish Choir
The choir has an extensive and varied
repertoire which includes music from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Contemporary and American Spiritual.  In addition to providing music at the 10:15 AM Sunday service the choir sings at all Festival services.  Twice yearly the choir offers special music - a Christimas Festival of Lessons and Carols, and a spring concert, often with guest artists.

Children's Choir
The children's choir for boys and girls in
grades 2 - 6, is trained in the fundamentals of music, singing technique and liturgy.  They offer anthems and songs of praise during our worship.

Voice of Hope
A group of
teens come together with instruments and voices to "sing unto the Lord a new song".  This generation proclaims a joyful song with a true heart for worship.  Their music draws from rich hymnody, contemporary
song and the great classics of our heritage.

Praise Team

This contemporary praise group is comprised of singers, guitar and percussion.  They sing at the 10:15 AM service once a month.
